I’ve been doing a lot of work in my garden over the last few days, taking advantage of the more settled weather. This has involved a general tidy up: pruning, raking leaves, scarifying the grass (solid moss in our north facing plot), weeding and cleaning up two (small) ponds. It’s quite remarkable just how much garden waste is generated through this process so several trips to the recycling centre were required as the compost bin is just not big enough.
Needless to say, I haven’t spent much time on my art recently mainly because it is so good to get outside again after what has seemed like weeks of rain. And of course there is evidence of spring in the offing; always cheering to see the snowdrops, heliobore, aconites and daffodils blooming and anticipating the gardening season ahead.
So, to celebrate here is a reminder of one or two pieces that I produced last year with a spring theme. These are all available for sale, details of which can be found on my originals page.
