Breaking light, Levenmouth

Painted in monochrome hues, this oil on canvas depicts a threatening sky on the horizon. There is a hint of sun reflecting on the waters of the Firth of Forth. An oil rig is just visible in the distance, reminding us of the region’s industrial past and its continuing role in the energy industry. Amid the Monadhliaths

An autumn walk near Newtonmore in the Highlands of Scotland. The view depicts part of the Monadhliath mountain range seen from the south.
