The fields of Fife

These delightful little paintings depict the farmlands of Fife in the spring. Both pieces were inspired following a walk along the River Eden as dark clouds gathered to the north and west. Two well known landmarks are represented.  The East Lomond can be seen in silhouette on the horizon of Mustard Seed Flowers, Riverside, standing in sharp contrast to the bright yellow flowers in the foreground. Approaching Rain, Fife depicts a patchwork of fields with the village of Cupar Muir in the middle distance. The Mount is visible on the horizon to the left of the picture with the Hopetoun Monument at the summit. Like the Lomond Hills this landmark can be seen from miles around.

Both paintings can be purchased on line from Art Gallery UK where you will find details of dimensions, price and how to purchase.
