The beach at Leven offers contrasting views of the Fife coastline reflecting its past, from the industrial landscape of Levenmouth in the west to the 19th century village of Lunden Links in the east, built to accommodate tourists visiting Lower Largo. This oil on canvas captures a dark sky across the Firth of Forth and one of two oil rigs at anchor in the bay. The light from the setting sun is reflected on the water.
