Last painting of the year: Looking on Loch Laggan

This small oil painting is the end result of the ‘Work in Progress: December 2020’ series. It shows Loch Laggan as seen from the approach to Creag Meagaidh with Binnein Shuas visible in the distance. All-in-all I am pleased with this although I was uncertain about the foreground for a bit. I think I have captured the contrast that I was looking for between the distant mountains and the plain on the nearside of the loch.
So, not only the last of the year, but the last of the decade. For a closer look at this work visit the Gallery page.
From start to finish.
