New month: new work

Back to the Cairngorms for my next few paintings. My inspiration for this piece lies in the way the land forms a narrow strip between the loch and the sky, and the contrasting patterns created by the forrest. This sketch was created on a trip to Newtonmore earlier this year and shows Loch Morlich on an overcast day.

Looking forward to spending more time on this one.
