Clouds over the Forth

I started this piece in August and, what with a few interruptions for commissions, it has taken until today to get it finished. I now have a love/ hate relationship with it. My inspiration for starting it was in the quality of light in the sky and the river. Despite my best efforts I found myself being drawn into the detail of the townscape, losing sight of the big picture. I think it will take a while for me to ‘see’ the whole piece without fretting over the little things.
